REPORTS
Depending on the report being printed there may be several selections
available to further define the content of the printed document. These
are normally pull down lists and/or radio button selectors.
Once you have selected the content of the report, Fast Estimate offers
one or more of the following print options depending on the type of information
being printed:
Print/Preview - Displays the report on screen and gives the
option to print. The software will format your screen preview to be
as close as possible to the final printed document. more
PDF - Creates a PDF document for the selected data
Text - Select this option to create the file in standard ASCII
format (File extension is .TXT). Data is Tab Delimited.
CSV - The resultant file is saved in a Comma Separated Value
file (CSV) - This is an industry standard file output format that maintains
some level of formatting between fields. This is normally the most suitable
data format for mainstream products such as MS Excel.
If you choose to save the report in one of these formats, you will be
asked to specify a target folder
Once the file has been saved, Fast Estimate will offer to launch the
application you have associated with this file type (If none has been
previously associated you will be prompted for the application you want
to use to access this file type).
Tips
- If you want to analyse or adjust your reports using other software
tools such as spreadsheets or project management, create a CSV or TXT
file.
