PRINT TABLE
Unlike the Reports function, local printing
assumes you want to print the data currently loaded in the table. Depending
on the report, a selection of options may be available to further define
your report criteria.
Once you
have selected the content of the report, Fast Estimate offers one or more
of the following print options depending on the type of information being
printed:
Print/Preview - Displays the report on screen and gives the
option to print. The software will format your screen preview to be
as close as possible to the final printed document. more
Text - Select this option to create the file in standard ASCII
format (File extension is .TXT) and view with MS Word. Data fileis Tab
Delimited.
PDF - Create a document in PDF format (read-only)
CSV - The resultant file is saved in a Comma Separated Value
file (CSV) - This is an industry standard file output format that maintains
some level of formatting between fields. This is normally the most suitable
data format for mainstream products such as MS Excel.
If you choose
to save the report in one of the formats, you will be asked to specify
a target folder:
Save as Output file: This box is displayed if you select either
of the file output options. The default folder is OUTPUT, a folder automatically
created within the main program folder.
You can change the current folder to place the file in any folder you
have access to.
Once the file has been saved, Fast Estimate will offer to launch the
application you have associated with this file type (If none has been
previously associated you will be prompted for the application you want
to use to access this file type).
Notes
- If you want to print a different set of data to the one currently
selected, use the Reports function (or change
the data currently loaded).
- If you
want to analyse or adjust your reports using other software tools such
as spreadsheets or project management, create a CSV or TXT file.
